Piolet

Description: Piolet is Manolito's second client. It has been published after the original Blubster by Optisoft.

As it is standard for Manolito, the searches and downloads are fast. However, as it is standard for Manolito, it only allows for sharing music, and the content is not what you would call overwhelming, being only provided by a 250.000 users' community.

Unlike the original Blubster, Piolet is ad- and spyware free. The interface, on the other hand is extremely similar. From this point of view, you could almost call Piolet a Blubster light version.

But this is not the case. Piolet is an original program and I would say it is in a lot of ways better than Blubster. It has a couple of nice features including chat, voice chat, weblinks support, SHA1 hashing (Gnutella compatible - is Piolet about to go multinetwork?), CPU and memory usage controls, search for user &c.

Shareaza
Shareaza is a very new, and easy to use file sharing software tool that uses the peer-to-peer Gnutella Network. The interface somewhat reminds me of Napster.
